Made these yesterday...It is a cooking version of home made playdough unlike the previous one which is need not to be cooked. Its is very easy to make.
- Plain flour - 1 cup
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Salt - 1/2 cup
- Cream of tartar - 2 tablespoon
- Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon
Method:
- Firstly, what you do is, add all the ingredients in the saucepan.
- Using a whisk stir the mixture until they are well mixed.
- Next, with low-medium heat stir the mixture until it thickens.
- Once the dough start gathering together around the spoon you know that it is ready.
- You can now spoon it out and divided into few smaller ball depending on how many colours you want to make.
- I like to add the colour after the dough is ready making it into smaller balls. You have to use your muscle to knead the dough after adding the colours of you choice.
- However, you can also add the colours during mixing all the ingredients together. It is much easier and less hassle.
I enjoy making these, and my DD also enjoy playing with them. You can store them in a zip lock bag and it would last quite some time. I've read in a blog, hers lasted for a year! So please try making them and let me know how it turned out.
